Sirimattheragāthā

Sirima

“Pare ca naṁ pasaṁsanti,
If others praise one

attā ce asamāhito;
who has no immersion,

Moghaṁ pare pasaṁsanti,
they praise in vain,

attā hi asamāhito.
as one has no immersion.

Pare ca naṁ garahanti,
If others rebuke one

attā ce susamāhito;
who does have immersion,

Moghaṁ pare garahanti,
they rebuke in vain,

attā hi susamāhito”ti.
as one does have immersion.

vaggo dutiyo.

Tassuddānaṁ

Cundo ca jotidāso ca,

thero heraññakāni ca;

Somamitto sabbamitto,

kāḷo tisso ca kimilo;

Nando ca sirimā ceva,

dasa therā mahiddhikāti.
