“Satimā paññavā bhikkhu,
As a monk, mindful and wise,
āraddhabalavīriyo;
empowered and full of energy,
Pañca kappasatānāhaṁ,
I recollected five hundred eons
ekarattiṁ anussariṁ.
in a single night.
Cattāro satipaṭṭhāne,
Developing the four mindfulness meditations,
satta aṭṭha ca bhāvayaṁ;
the seven factors of awakening, and the eightfold path,
Pañca kappasatānāhaṁ,
I recollected five hundred eons
ekarattiṁ anussarin”ti.
