“Tisse yuñjassu dhammehi,
Tissā, apply yourself to good qualities—
“Tissā, bind yourself to the Dhamma;
khaṇo taṁ mā upaccagā;
don’t let the moment pass you by.
waste no time.
Khaṇātītā hi socanti,
For if you miss your moment,
Those who waste time sorrow
nirayamhi samappitā”ti.
you’ll grieve when sent to hell.
