Asekhasutta An adept

ā€œPaƱcahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannāgato bhikkhu āhuneyyo hoti pāhuneyyo dakkhiį¹‡eyyo ā€¦peā€¦ anuttaraį¹ puƱƱakkhettaį¹ lokassa. ā€œMendicants, a mendicant with five qualities is worthy of offerings dedicated to the gods, worthy of hospitality, worthy of a religious donation, worthy of veneration with joined palms, and is the supreme field of merit for the world.

Katamehi, paƱcahi? What five?

Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu asekhena sÄ«lakkhandhena samannāgato hoti, asekhena samādhikkhandhena samannāgato hoti, asekhena paƱƱākkhandhena samannāgato hoti, asekhena vimuttikkhandhena samannāgato hoti, asekhena vimuttiƱāį¹‡adassanakkhandhena samannāgato hoti. Itā€™s when they have the entire spectrum of the adeptā€™s ethics, immersion, wisdom, freedom, and knowledge and vision of freedom.

Imehi kho, bhikkhave, paƱcahi dhammehi samannāgato bhikkhu āhuneyyo hoti ā€¦peā€¦ anuttaraį¹ puƱƱakkhettaį¹ lokassāā€ti. A mendicant with these five qualities ā€¦ is the supreme field of merit for the world.ā€
