Frequent: a past life story
“Nālaṁ kabaḷaṁ padātave,
It’s not enough to give him a morsel,
Na ca piṇḍaṁ na kuse na ghaṁsituṁ;
a bite, some grass, or a rubbing-down.
Maññāmi abhiṇhadassanā,
I think by seeing the dog often,
Nāgo snehamakāsi kukkure”ti.
the elephant grew fond of him.
Abhiṇhajātakaṁ sattamaṁ.
