Ekamūlasutta

One Root A devatā:“One Root

“Ekamūlaṁ dvirāvaṭṭaṁ,
“One is the root, two are the whirlpools,
With its one root, two whirlpools,

timalaṁ pañcapattharaṁ;
three are the stains, five the spreads,
Three stains, five extensions,

Samuddaṁ dvādasāvaṭṭaṁ,
twelve the ocean’s whirlpools:
An ocean with twelve eddies.

pātālaṁ atarī isī”ti.
such is the abyss crossed over by the seer.”
The seer has crossed over the abyss.”
