Nibbedhikapaññāsutta
Penetrating Wisdom
“… Nibbedhikapaññatāya saṁvattanti.
“Mendicants, when four things are developed and cultivated they lead to penetrating wisdom.
Katame cattāro?
What four?
Sappurisasaṁsevo, saddhammassavanaṁ, yonisomanasikāro, dhammānudhammappaṭipatti—
Associating with true persons, listening to the true teaching, rational application of mind, and practicing in line with the teaching.
ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro dhammā bhāvitā bahulīkatā nibbedhikapaññatāya saṁvattantī”ti.
When these four things are developed and cultivated they lead to penetrating wisdom.”
Terasamaṁ.
Mahāpaññavaggo sattamo.
Tassuddānaṁ
Mahā puthu vipula gambhīraṁ,
Appamatta bhūri bāhullaṁ;
Sīgha lahu hāsa javana,
Tikkha nibbedhikāya cāti.
Sotāpattisaṁyuttaṁ ekādasamaṁ.
