Sambulakaccāna
“Devo ca vassati, devo ca gaḷagaḷāyati,
The sky rains, the sky thunders down,
Ekako cāhaṁ bherave bile viharāmi;
I’m staying alone in a frightful hole.
Tassa mayhaṁ ekakassa bherave bile viharato,
But while I’m staying alone in that frightful hole,
Natthi bhayaṁ vā chambhitattaṁ vā lomahaṁso vā.
I’ve no fear, no dread, no goosebumps.
Dhammatā mamesā yassa me,
This is my normal state
Ekakassa bherave bile;
while staying alone in a frightful hole:
Viharato natthi bhayaṁ vā,
I’ve no fear,
Chambhitattaṁ vā lomahaṁso vā”ti.
no dread, no goosebumps.
