DutiyasaƱcetanikasutta Intentional (2nd)

ā€œNāhaį¹, bhikkhave, saƱcetanikānaį¹ kammānaį¹ katānaį¹ upacitānaį¹ appaį¹­isaį¹veditvā byantÄ«bhāvaį¹ vadāmi, ā€œMendicants, I donā€™t say that intentional deeds that have been performed and accumulated are eliminated without being experienced.

taƱca kho diį¹­į¹­heva dhamme upapajje vā apare vā pariyāye. And that may be in this very life, or in the next life, or in some subsequent period.

Na tvevāhaį¹, bhikkhave, saƱcetanikānaį¹ kammānaį¹ katānaį¹ upacitānaį¹ appaį¹­isaį¹veditvā dukkhassantakiriyaį¹ vadāmi. And I donā€™t say that suffering is ended without experiencing intentional deeds that have been performed and accumulated.

Tatra, bhikkhave, tividhā kāyakammantasandosabyāpatti akusalasaƱcetanikā dukkhudrayā dukkhavipākā hoti; Now, there are three kinds of corruption and failure of bodily action that have unskillful intention, with suffering as their outcome and result.

catubbidhā vacīkammantasandosabyāpatti akusalasaƱcetanikā dukkhudrayā dukkhavipākā hoti; There are four kinds of corruption and failure of verbal action that have unskillful intention, with suffering as their outcome and result.

tividhā manokammantasandosabyāpatti akusalasaƱcetanikā dukkhudrayā dukkhavipākā hoti. There are three kinds of corruption and failure of mental action that have unskillful intention, with suffering as their outcome and result.

KathaƱca, bhikkhave, tividhā kāyakammantasandosabyāpatti akusalasaƱcetanikā dukkhudrayā dukkhavipākā hoti ā€¦peā€¦ And what are the three kinds of corruption and failure of bodily action? ā€¦

evaį¹ kho, bhikkhave, tividhā kāyakammantasandosabyāpatti akusalasaƱcetanikā dukkhudrayā dukkhavipākā hoti. These are the three kinds of corruption and failure of bodily action.

KathaƱca, bhikkhave, catubbidhā vacÄ«kammantasandosabyāpatti akusalasaƱcetanikā dukkhudrayā dukkhavipākā hoti ā€¦peā€¦ And what are the four kinds of corruption and failure of verbal action? ā€¦

evaį¹ kho, bhikkhave, catubbidhā vacÄ«kammantasandosabyāpatti akusalasaƱcetanikā dukkhudrayā dukkhavipākā hoti. These are the four kinds of corruption and failure of verbal action.

KathaƱca, bhikkhave, tividhā manokammantasandosabyāpatti akusalasaƱcetanikā dukkhudrayā dukkhavipākā hoti ā€¦peā€¦ And what are the three kinds of corruption and failure of mental action? ā€¦

evaį¹ kho, bhikkhave, tividhā manokammantasandosabyāpatti akusalasaƱcetanikā dukkhudrayā dukkhavipākā hoti. These are the three kinds of corruption and failure of mental action.

TividhakāyakammantasandosabyāpattiakusalasaƱcetanikāhetu vā, bhikkhave, sattā kāyassa bhedā paraį¹ maraį¹‡Ä apāyaį¹ duggatiį¹ vinipātaį¹ nirayaį¹ upapajjanti, catubbidhavacÄ«kammanta ā€¦peā€¦ tividhamanokammantasandosabyāpattiakusalasaƱcetanikāhetu vā, bhikkhave, sattā kāyassa bhedā paraį¹ maraį¹‡Ä apāyaį¹ duggatiį¹ vinipātaį¹ nirayaį¹ upapajjanti. When their body breaks up, after death, sentient beings are reborn in a place of loss, a bad place, the underworld, hell because of these three kinds of corruption and failure of bodily action, these four kinds of corruption and failure of verbal action, or these three kinds of corruption and failure of mental action that have unskillful intention, with suffering as their outcome and result.

tividhā manokammantasampatti kusalasaƱcetanikā sukhudrayā sukhavipākā hoti. There are three kinds of successful mental action that have skillful intention, with happiness as their outcome and result.
