Ekaį¹ samayaį¹ āyasmā ca sāriputto, āyasmā ca mahākoį¹­į¹­hiko bārāį¹‡asiyaį¹ viharanti isipatane migadāye ā€¦peā€¦ At one time Venerable Sāriputta and Venerable Mahākoį¹­į¹­hita were staying near Varanasi, in the deer park at Isipatana. ā€¦

ā€œKo nu kho, āvuso, hetu, ko paccayo, yenetaį¹ abyākataį¹ bhagavatāā€ti? ā€œWhatā€™s the cause, reverend, whatā€™s the reason why this has not been declared by the Buddha?ā€
